Robert Setterbo
PartnerRobert B. Setterbo II, Esq., has been a Partner at Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP, since 2019, and in 2024 he was elected to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Robert actively practices law in both California and Massachusetts, where his extensive litigation and trial experience has focused almost exclusively on Family Law and Domestic Relations matters.
Robert devotes a substantial portion of his practice to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), officiating as a private Mediator and Court-appointed Conciliator, where he has helped many families avoid the substantial time and cost of litigation and to resolve their disputes amicably. Robert serves the Court as a Category F Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and an Attorney Representing Children (ARC) in cases involving custodial disputes.
Robert is an active member of the Boston, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Massachusetts Bar Associations, the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC), as well as the Massachusetts Family & Probate American Inn of Court. Robert strongly believes that mentorship is a cornerstone of the legal profession, and he devotes substantial time providing guidance to law students, fellow attorneys, and legal professionals alike.

Robert earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he competed for USD’s National Mock Trial Team. Prior to entering law school, he earned his Bachelor of Science in General Biology at the University of California, San Diego, with a Minor in Law and Society focusing on U.S. Civil Rights. Robert is a proud member of the South Shore community, where he regularly volunteers his time outside of the office.
