Robert Bradley Setterbo II, Esq. is a Partner at Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP. Robert actively practices law in both California and Massachusetts, where his 14-year legal career has focused almost exclusively on Family Law and Domestic Relations matters. Robert has extensive litigation and trial experience in numerous areas including Divorce, Domestic Partnership and Civil Union dissolution, Paternity, Custody and Parenting Time, Asset/Liability Division, Spousal Support and Alimony, Child Support, Relocations/Removal (“Move-away”), Abuse Prevention and Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, Post-Judgment Modification, and many more.

Robert devotes a substantial part of his practice to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), officiating as a private Mediator and Court-appointed Conciliator, where he has helped many families avoid the substantial time and cost of litigation and to resolve their disputes amicably. Robert is frequently appointed by the Court as a Category F Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and an Attorney Representing Children (ARC) in cases involving custodial disputes. He also regularly volunteers as a settlement “Negotiator,” through the Massachusetts Family & Probate American Inn of Court’s Judge Abber “We CAN Settle” Initiative, and as Lawyer of the Day in Suffolk and Plymouth Counties.

Robert is an active member of several Bar Associations including the Boston, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Massachusetts Bar Associations. He is a member of the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC), Massachusetts Association of Guardian ad Litem (MAGAL), and presently serves as the Assistant Treasurer, Chair of the Law School Mentoring Committee, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Family & Probate American Inn of Court.

Robert earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he competed for USD’s National Mock Trial Team. Prior to entering law school, he earned his Bachelor of Science in General Biology at the University of California, San Diego, with a Minor in Law and Society focusing on U.S. Civil Rights. Robert is a proud member of the Massachusetts South Shore community, where he regularly volunteers his time outside of the office.
